Load

event link

Firing conditions

Event raised to the form when loading in memory, which can occur in the following cases:

  • the form is opened from the application menu and is not found in the list of open forms;
  • the form is shown using the Show method and is not among the open windows;
  • a public procedure on the form is used when it is not among the open windows: before executing the procedure, the form is loaded to memory and then opened. In this case, the Load event is raised first and then the form procedure is invoked.

Recommended usage

The Load event can be used to complete the configuration of visual objects found in the form. For example, you can activate Panel Fields, enable or disable commands, and change the write permissions for the panel.

Arguments

This event has no arguments.
  • The Load event occurs when configuration of the form objects is complete. It's therefore possible to access the properties of all the objects it contains.
  • The Load event cannot be the first event raised inside a form. For example, if the form contains a panel, when it is first configured the panel raises an OnChangeRow event. Inside handling of that event you must therefore take into account that the form might be only partially configured and therefore exceptions could occur if you attempt to access visual objects that have not yet been created.
